Welcome to my blog.
You are here so you obviously want to know about me.
Currently, I am a divorced, single mother living in Ohio. My day job is an accountant. I enjoy my job, but love being a mom more than anything. My son, Rit, is my world and will always come first.
I also have a mutt whom I adopted in March 2010 from some friends who rescued her. She was 3 months old when I took her in and been a great companion.
I own my home. I bought it with my ex-husband about 6 months before we got married. I am currently working to re-decorate it and turn it from "us" to "mine" as finances allow. Life isn't cheap. Life as a single mom, is even less so.
What does Living Wench mean?
I love attending the renaissance festivals. I attended my first renfaire September 4, 2000 and haven't missed a year since.
Through the renaissance festivals, I became a member of the International Wenches Guild in 2006. In 2008 I was going through a rough time and turned to them for support. One of the wenches told me "You are a wench. You are strong. You will get through this." That has stayed with me for several years and has helped me many times.
Another favorite phrase is
This is why I try to live my life as a Wench.
Other things about me?
I was raised Roman Catholic but converted to Paganism in 2003. I am a very spiritual person and while I enjoy a good discussion on religion, I am not one for debating it. I stand by the belief of "Do not force your beliefs on me and I will not force mine upon you."
Finally, my main hobby, aside from the renaissance festivals, is writing. I love to write, especially fiction. I have not been published yet, but my dream is to one day be a published author.
A recent addition to my hobby list has been knitting. It's great to see the product of labor happen as you go.
So welcome and happy reading!
